Test results of painting systems designed for rusted surfaces
Original language description
The work analyses results of laboratory experiments focused on the protective effects of paint systems designed for protection of rusted steel surfaces. The experiments were carried out in condensing chambers with various fillings. Syntetic and water-diluted paint systemswerw tested, beingapplied to both clean and rusted surfaces. After exposure in condensing chambers in paint coat thickness (paintcoat with oxidizing layer), adhesion and resistance against sinking were evaluated. No reduction in the above-mentioned qualities afterpaint application to the rusted surface was detected, and adhesion of synthetic painting materials improved.
