Digestibility of organic nutrients in the feed rations of horses
Original language description
The trials were always performed on a group of 6 sports horses (weight of 453 to 598 kg). Nine feed rations were tested. Three feed rations contained soya bean meal - S1 (0.01 %), S2 (5 %), S3 (10 %), other three feed rations contained flax seeds- L1 (0.01 %), L2 (5 %), L3 (10 %) and surplus three feed rations contained different sorts and varieties of oat - O1 (yellow oat), O2 (black oat - variety of Avesta) and O3 (black oat - variety of Noirine). Amount of soya bean solvent extraction meal in feedrations S1 and S2 and flax seeds in feed rations L1 and L2 was completed with starch to value 10 %. The highest value of organic matter digestibility (82.26 %), dry matter digestibility (81.56 %) and nitrogen-free extract digestibility (86.54 %) were detected with feed ration S2. The highest value of crude protein digestibility (86.25 %), fat digestibility (71.35 %) and crude fiber digestibility (84.88 %) were detected with feed ration L3.
