Original language description
The influence of the number of foil layers in ensilaged wilted grass and lucerne and effect of addition of preservative on the fermentation processes was studied. Dry matter of ensilaged material was higher than 350 g/kg. A higher level of lactate was observed in the wrap pack silage with inoculant. No butyric acid was determined in any variant of wilted grass silages. Butyric acid was determined in wilted lucerne silage. The use of the wrap round big-bale technology had a positive effect on the studiedparameters of silage.
