Biodiversity of forest plant communities within spruce stands conversion in vegetation tiers 3 and 4
Original language description
Mature spruce forest stands, younger conversion beech stands and mature beech stands of natural tree species composition were aranged into a cycle of conversion. An analysis of biodiversity at the level of species, spatial and ecological structure was made for particular plots within these types of actual stands. The study area consists of two parts: research polygon of -Pokojná hora Mts.- in the Drahanská vrchovina upland and research polygon of -Hetlín- in the Hornosázavská pahorkatina upland. Vegetation of the plots was characterised and classified according to natural constitution of tree species composition. This viewpoint was also the guide to appreciate changes in biodiversity. Terrestrial moss synusia development is the significant mark of changed stands together with typical changes in the composition of herb synusia at the level of species and ecological structure.
