Possibilities of using the PCR - RFLP method for intraspecific differentiation between Sus scrofa scrofa and Sus scrofa domesticus.
Original language description
This report focuses on the possibilities of differentiating pig and wild boar meat by molecular biological methods in the DNA polymorphism analysis. On the basis of published polymorphisms, the PCR-RFLP method was used in the parts of the mtDNA gene forcytochrome b and the D-loop region in 33 samples of wild boar and 10 samples of domestic pig. Intraspecific polymorphism was only found in the D-loop region of mtDNA. An amplified 531 bp-long PCR fragment was digested with restriction endonuclease Tsp509I. Based on restriction fragment length analysis, the domestic pig samples were divided into two groups, and the wild boar samples into three. The polymorphisms found enabled intraspecific differentiation in the species Sus scrofain
