Oestrus Synchronization by PGF2alpha and GnRH in Intervals according to Stage of Follicular Develpment at Time of Initial Treatment in Cows
Original language description
The objective of the study was to evaluate the efficiency of oestrus/ovulation synchronization using PGF2alpha and GnRH at intervals according to the sizes of ovarian follicles at the time of initial treatment. Oestrus synchronization was perfomed in 65cows that were divided into 3 groups according to the diameters of ovarian follicles (Group 1 - small follicles, Group 2 - small and medium follicles, Group 3 - small, medium and large follicles). GnRH was administered 72 hours (Group 1), 48 h (Group 2)and 24 h (Group 3) after PGF2alpha. Term of oestrus and ovulation, progesterone concentration and conception rate were evaluated. The highest efficiency of synchronization was observed in Group 2.
