This study compares manual and instrumental supragingival mineralized plaque removal and subsequent polishing with different polishing discs of various hardness. The goal of the work is to establish optimal method of enamel surface treatment according tothe efficacy of the polishing and damage to the enamel. The fourth maxillar premolar (P4) was used as a model tooth. Examined teeth were fixated in 10% buffered formalin solution and afterwards examined with scanning electron microscope. The results compare particular methods concerning their efficacy and damage to the enamel surface. They conclude main differences and relations between these methods.

Srovnání metod ošetření povrchu skloviny u psa: Dopad na poškození skloviny a srovnání účinnosti

Czech description

Tato studie srovnává manuální a instrumentální odstranění supragingiválního mineralizovaného plaku a následnou depuraci depuračními kotouči různé tvrdosti. Cílem práce je stanovit optimální metodu ošetření povrchu skloviny s ohledem na účinnost čištění apoškození skloviny. Jako modelový zub jsme požili čtvrtý maxilární premolár (P4) a špičák (C). Zkoumané zuby byly po extrakci uloženy v10% formaldehydu a následně vyšetřeny rastrovací elektronovou mikroskopií. Výsledky porovnávají jednotlivé postupy z hlediska jejich účinnosti, poškození povrchu skloviny. Následně vyvozují hlavní rozdíly a vztahy mezi jednotlivými metodami.
