Treatment of ovarian cysts in sows - a field trial

Different procedures of treatment of large follicular ovarian cysts in 177 sows using GnRH, hCG and PGF2? are evaluated in this study. Ovarian cysts were diagnosed by transcutaneous ultrasonography that was part of routine pregnancy diagnosis. No treatment was performed in the control group (Group 1, n = 29); intramuscular administration of lecirelinum in doses 50 ?g (Group 2, n = 28), 100 ?g (Group 3, n = 27) and 200 ?g divided into 2 equal doses administered at a 12-hour interval (Group 4, n = 25); hCG in doses 1500 IU (Group 5, n = 23), 3000 IU (Group 6, n = 21), and 250 ?g of cloprostenol (Group 7, n = 24) were the methods of treatment used in other groups immediately after the diagnosis. Insemination rate (IR), conception rate in inseminated sows(CR), pregnancy rate (PR = recovery rate), treatment - insemination interval (TII) and treatment ? pregnancy interval (TPI) within 42 days after initial examination were evaluated. Léčba ovariálních cyst u prasnic - terénní pokus

Ve studii jsou vyhodnoceny různé postupy léčby velkých folikulárních ovariálních cyst u 177 prasnic za použití GnRH, hCG and PGF2?. Ovariální cysty byly diagnostikovány transkutánní ultrasonografií během rutinní diagnostiky gravidity. Kontrolní skupina (Skupina 1, n = 29) nebyla ošetřena. U ostatních skupin byla ihned po diagnóze provedena intramuskulární aplikace lecirelinu v dávce 50 ?g (Skupina 2, n = 28), 100 ?g (Skupina 3, n = 27) a 200 ?g rozděleně na dvě stejné dávky aplikované ve 12-h intervalu(Skupina 4, n = 25); hCG v dávkách 1500 IU (Skupina 5, n = 23), 3000 IU (Skupina 6, n = 21) a 250 ?g cloprostenolu (Skupina 7, n = 24). Byl hodnocen počet inseminovaných prasnic (insemination rate, IR), procento zabřezávání z inseminovaných (CR), procento zabřezlých z ošetřených (PR = recovery rate), interval ošetření - inseminace (TII) a interval ošetření ? zabřeznutí (TPI) během 42 dnů po ošetření.
