Original language description
Ileus is a disruption of the normal propulsive gastrointestinal motor activity from non-mechanical mechanisms (paralytic ileus) or because of bowel obstruction. Gastrointestinal hypomotility results in gas formation in ceacum or stomach. Gas distension is painful and stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and deteoriate the situation. Paralytic ileus could be associated with any stressful situation or conditidon that stimulates the sympathtic nervous system including pain, systemic disease or surgery. The aim of this paper is to present three cases of ileus in rabbits and to highlight important diagnostic and therapeutic steps.

Czech description
Ileus je porušení normální hnací motorické aktivity z nemechanického důvodu (paralytický ileus) nebo kvůli obstrukci střeva. Gastrointestinální hypomobilita vede k tvorbě plynu ve slepém střevě a žaludku. Roztažení útrob plynem je bolestivé a stimuluje sympatický nervový systém a tím zhroršuje situaci. Paralytický ileus může být spojen s jakokoliv stresovou situací nebo stavem, který stimuluje sympatický systém, což zahrnuje bolest, systémové onemocnění nebo chirurgický zákrok. Cílem tohoto článku je prezentovat tři případy ilea u králíků a zdůraznit důležité diagnostické a terapeutické kroky.
