    Syngamid nematodes of the genus Mammmonogamus are known parazites of western lowland gorillas and Sumatran orangutans together with other mammalian species, humans included. The life cycle hasn't been clarified yet and sedimentation method is ideal for detection of typical eggs containing usually two blastomeres and having shell with striated surface. Prevalence is usually low.
