Detection of nucleated red blood cells in dogs using Sysmex XN analyzer - a fast and valuable prognostic parameter?
Original language description
Manual nucleated red blood cell (NRBC) counts are recognized as a prognostic indicator in dogs experiencing systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and heatstroke. In human medicine, Sysmex XN-series analyzers offer rapid and reliable NRBC quantification correlating with increased mortality in critically ill patients. This study aims to retrospectively evaluate the association between NRBC counts detected by the Sysmex XN 1000V analyzer in canine blood samples and patient outcome.
