Determination of trace elements in small volume of tissue
Original language description
The article describes a method for determination of trace elements in small volume of tissue obtained from small animals or by biopsy. Weight of the native sample ranged between 10 mg and 100 mg with respect to possibility, determined analyte and ki nd of tissue. After solubilization the sample in 7.2 M HNO3 and dilution by organic solvent Cd, Cu and Pb were determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry and Zn by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The proposed procedure was validatedwith certified reference material of bovine liver (1577a SRM), bovine muscle (BCR CRM 184) and mussel (BCR CRM 278 ) and all results were in good agreement with the certified values (at 95% confidence level). The method provides a limit of detection (3s0) of 5, 38, 40 pg and 13 ng/ml for Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn respectively
