    Toxicity of a bromadiolone based rodenticide for aquatic organisms.

  • Original language description

    The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the product based on bromadiolone (0.005 %) on selected aquatic species. The effects were studied using Lemna minor (168 hours), Daphnia magna and Poecilia reticulata (48 hours). In all the cases we tested the concentration of 100 mg.l-1. This concentration caused no mortality in Daphnia magna and Poecilia reticulata nor were there inhibitory effects in Lemna minor. There were inhibitory effects on the growth of Raphidocelis subcapitata and Lemna minorwhen testing the substance Lanirat Conc. containing 0.25% of bromadiolone - the effective substance for the production of the rodenticide studied. 72hIC50A and 168 hIC50 A for Raphidocelis subcapitata and Lemna minor was equal to 0.35 mg.l-1 and 0.51 mg.l-1, respectively.
