Hemolivia mauritanica (Sergent et Sergent, 1904), in European tortoises Testudo graeca Linnaeus, 1758 and Testudo marginata Schoepff, 1792.

  • Original language description

Blood protozan Hemolivia mauritanica is studied in two tortoise species - Testudo marginata Schoepff and Testudo graeca Linnaeus. Our data suggest the conspecificity of T.graeca and T. marginata derived isolates and extend the host range of H.mauritanica.
