Hydroponics and its importance for phytoremediation technologies

  • Original language description

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, without soil. This mini-review summarizes the origin of this method, today application and future perspective. Moreover, we discuss the usage of this method for testing of phytoremediation potential of plants, particularly, of sugar beet. Concerning this plant specie, we review up-to-date studies on using of this plant in phytoremediation.
