Original language description
The aim of this study was to investigate the resistance of the selected starter cultures (lactic acid bacteria) for fermented dry sausages on several selected antibiotics by the E-test. Antimicrobial resistance of starter cultures from three different producers was tested on nine antibiotics. The results showed that all tested starter cultures were resistant to vancomycin, gentamicin and streptomycin and susceptible to erythromycin, clindamycin, quinupristin + dalfopristin, except ampicillin and tetracycline were variable and depended on the species.
