The Czech Genebank and institutions of the National programme for germplasm conservation turn their attention to cover a wider spectrum of plant genetic resources including wild ancestral species, relative species to cultivated crops and other species useful or potentially useful for mankind. Many of them appeared to be endangered or very restricted in their distribution. Among the most restricted plant species with island-like distribution belong Danthonia alpina, Festuca drymeja, Hierochloe odorata, Poa riphaea and Trigonella monspeliaca. We studied them in situ, repeatedly noted phytocenological relevés and monitored their threat. Poa riphaea is the most restricted endemic species in the Czech Republic having the distribution only on several squaremeters. Others are on the distribution limits. They were grown, evaluated and regenerated on experimental fields, the seeds were finally put to the long-term conservation of the Czech Genebank. The next stage considers their in situ conse

Příspěvek popisuje některé z ohrožených nebo ostrůvkovitě se vyskytujících rostlinných druhů České republiky (Danthonia alpina, Festuca drymeja, Hierochloe odorata, Poa riphaea a Trigonella monspeliaca). Byly studovány in situ a v případě potřeby pěstovány, hodnoceny a regenerovány ex situ. Osivo bylo uloženo k dlohodobému uskladnění do genové banky v Praze.
