Original language description

Using a force plate of the Hradec Králové hospital we made measurements on laying volunteers. Obtained data have been analyzed by methods known from differential geometry. Our results have been compared with the direct measurements of blood pressure inside left heart ventricle, resp. inside large arteries. In such a way we have demonstrated that mechanical events measured by the force plate correspond to motion of heart muscle and propagation of blood pressure wave through large blood vessels. The described procedure can be used, for instance, as a mean for non-invasive study of large blood vessel properties.
