Implicit descriptors for normality
Original language description
For over 50 years the subject of folk (naive, ordinary, lay, everyday) psychology, that means the study of lay opinions on human psychology and human behaviour, has been attracting psychologists´ attention. This study focuses on the implicit (tacit, subjective, lay, intuitive) concepts of normality. Attention is paid to the question: Which descriptors are crucial for the description of a normal individual given by so called helping professions, and to what extent do they differ when the description is given by IT specialists? A new projective method was constructed (an adaptation of Kelly`s Repertory grid test) to obtain these answers, its fourth version is currently being tested. The article presents partial results of the research.
