Original language description
As the result of breakdown of the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl large quantities of radioactive substances were released to environment. Among others the territories of Poland and Czech were contaminated. The aim of the project was investigation of current local depositions of cesium isotopes close to soil surface and total dose of gamma radiation in the Polish - Czech border region. The work was partly supported by European Regional Development Fund (Community Initiative INTERREG IIIA Czech-Poland).
