Original language description
The main topic of this paper is tourism destination and safety protection. It is in line with the current trends of making safe environment for local inhabitants. The article deals with the role of public administration in regional development and highlights the inevitability of healthy partnerships in this safe tourism development. The paper presents findings of a survey done in the general public interest in safe environment within tourism, and shows the current level of cooperation in selected municipalities in the Czech Republic. What emerges is that there are still large reserves not only at the level of pathologic phenomena prevention, but also in cooperation among individual partners.
