The emotional function is with no doubt one of the most important functions in a family. Its main aim is to provide emotional support, emotional safety and assurance to all family members. The ability to perform this function has an impact on endearmentand friendship in childhood, adolescence and also in adulthood. Lack of this function cannot, in any way, be replaced or compensated. The way our parents raised us impacts our behavior in friendship and especially partnership relations. This research project aims to find out how young adults perceive the way they were raised in their family and how able they are at establishing friendships and relationships in the present and how they treat them.
