Propaganda: the instrument of the Communist regime in Czechoslovakia 1948-1953

  • Original language description

The events of February 1948 became a triumphal culmination of the Communists efforts to control Czechoslovakia which had taken them several years and it also became a millstone in the political-social direction of its society eastward, particularly towards the Soviet Union. The Communists used a number of methods for the realization of their ambitions and culture was an integral part of it. It was accompanied by propaganda of different forms. The monograph features these forms that assisted the Czechoslovak Communists in managing the consolidation of the power they had seized.
