Original language description
The present contribution is devoted to the issue of teaching writing in language training, specifically teaching writing in French on the university level in the Czech Republic. The initial part of the paper sets basic definitions, most crucially writingin the sense of the French expression, or eventually production écrite as a part of four language competences as defined by CEFR. Since writing is closely connected to creativity, the final part of the paper is devoted to presenting particular examplesof creative writing of students in selected French study fields in the Czech Republic.
