Original language description
The study deals with the expressions yon, yond and yonder in Shakespeare's works, investigating their stylistic features, morpho-syntactic function and semantic role in discourse. Moreover, it examines the collocational links which the words enter. The quantitative part of research employs the methods of corpus linguistics and traces these words through all the historical periods of Shakespeare's writings, while the qualitative analysis utilizes mainly functional approach.
