Leisure Activities and Mental Well-being of the Seniors in Residential Facility
Original language description
Mental well-being of seniors is a fairly broad topic that provides many opportunities for conducting research. This article focuses on the target group of seniors living in a residential facility and the relationship between mental well-being and leisure activities provided. The senior is being viewed via a bio-psycho-socio- spiritual approach helping to reveal all the important aspects which should not be omitted at this age. With regard to the increasing life expectancy, as well as the number of seniors among us, plus the insufficient capacity of facilities, this article is really up to date. Due to the conducted survey, the importance of leisure activities viewed by the seniors living in the social facilities is being emphasized.
