The history of e-learning at the Faculty of Informatics and Management of University Hradec Králové (FIM UHK), Czech Republic, is quite long. The process of building a new learning architecture is about the design, sequencing and integrating of all electronic and non- electronic components of learning to deliver the optimum improvement in the educational process. In the contribution we will present various forms of using e-learning at FIM UHK provided by the means of the virtual study environment WebCT.We will illustrate an example of the courses prepared for the general public and also examples of using WebCT as a support for teaching subjects studied at FIM UHK both for full time and part time students. We will briefly mention some of the lecturesthat use multimedia presentations and programmes and they will be introduced within the course prepared in WebCT at the conference.
