Selected Problems of Advanced Manufacturing Technology Projects Adoption

This paper confronts selected results of the recent survey targeted on adoption and utilization of advanced manufacturing technology in the Czech Republic with analogous surveys that were carried out earlier in the United States of America and the UnitedKingdom. Taking into account the previous findings concerning the state-of the-art in the Czech Republic it is clear that Czech manufacturing companies are still lagging behind their western competitors and the situation is changing slowly. On the otherhand, some problems of advanced manufacturing technology adoption seem to be rather common for Czech, British, and American manufacturing companies too. These problems are described and discussed here and some recommendations for specialists involved within the relevant decision making processes are presented. Finally, further directions of our research in this field are outlined here as well.

Vybrané problémy schvalování projektů vyspělých výrobních technologií

Tento článek konfrontuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření zaměřeného na přijímání a využívání vyspělých výrobních technologií v České republice s výstupy dřívějších analogických šetření provedených ve Velké Británii a Spojených státech amerických. Při prostém porovnání dosažené úrovně využívání vyspělých výrobních technologií je zřejmé, že české výrobní podniky stále zaostávají za svými konkurenty z obou vyspělých západních ekonomik a tento stav se mění jen velmi pomalu. Na straně druhé lze ovšem najít celou řadu společných problémů, které je třeba při prosazování projektů vyspělých výrobních technologií překonávat a řešit v českých, britských i amerických podmínkách. Tyto problémy jsou zde popsány a diskutovány spolu s určitými doporučeními pro specialisty, kteří se na příslušných rozhodovacích procesech spolupodílejí. V závěru článku jsou nastíněny i některé směry dalšího výzkumu v této oblasti.
