This article shows a potential of electronic auction connected with savings used for strategic development. In the introduction, the legislation of public procurement with the use of electronic auction as a tool for procurements assessment is presented.In the next part, the principle of electronic auction is analysed. Furthermore, savings of selected contracting authorities of public procurements are revealed together with the respect of the potential savings in the whole public sector. In the conclusion, an economic analysis of reasons is given, why just the electronic auction is the proper tool of public sector development. / ISBN 978-80-7435-040-5
