The paper aims to determine the factors that affect the quality of websites in municipalities up to 2,000 inhabitants. To meet the objective, following hypotheses were examined. H1 The quality of increases with lower age of municipality´s mayor; H2 The quality increases with higher assets of the municipality; H3 The quality increases with the volume of subsidies attracted by the municipality; H4 The quality increases with higher population of the municipality. The research was realized on the sample gathered on the basis of systematic selection (n=80). Findings confirmed that the quality increases with higher population of the municipality, the other hypotheses were not proved. Results thus show that the quality of website is not so much dependent on personality of the manager or the financial situation, but rather on how many citizens benefit from the website.
