Original language description
The aim of this paper is to become familiar with a research project conducted at the University of Hradec Kralove, aimed at evaluating the performance of clusters, corresponding to the current needs and status in the matter. Especially evaluated will bethe cluster´s ability to create conditions for starting economic growth in industry and companies, that create supportive infrastructure and thereby promote employment growth and socio-economic development of a region. One of the aspects is also whetherthe activity of the cluster is in compliance with the terms of sustainable development. Czech Stone Cluster will be analyzed in relation to the development of tourist destinations of Podzvicinsko, Kladsko, Orlicke mountains and its foothills (Podorlicko), Central Bohemia - west. This cluster was chosen because the development of its activity can significantly affect the development of tourism.
