Inter-Municipal Disparities in the Czech Republic
Original language description
Czech citizens have a strong local identity stronger than their regional and national identities are. It reflects itself in disseminated administrative powers without reference to economic consequences. In the contribution, there are described results ofanalysis of economy of all the municipalities in both of the East Bohemian regions and in all regional seats of the Czech Republic in the span of 2001-2009 years. The total incomes per capita in the Hradec Kralove NUTS III region ranged from 57,031 to 1,276,898 CZK , median was at 105,568 CZK. The assets per capita (at January 1st, 2009) ranged from 27,109 CZK to 673,908 CZK, median value was 93,659 CZK. The parameters did not correlate significantly with the number of inhabitants of the individual municipalities. The inter-municipal disparities are often met in the same micro-region, i.e., in the same outer economic, political, social, etc. environment. Vol. 10, 2011
