Although time banks exist more than thirty years, their spreading is limited by many factors. Time banks are in the essence systems of community exchange, which brings many more in the social areas. This paper aims to point out and show the economical elements which are ordinary part of human life, but they are not enough underlined in economy driven only by financial resources. From holistic point of view to ensure long-term sustainability of the economic system, there is necessary to include also humane values to it, the ones which brings also the time bank. In this paper it is briefly shown situation of time banks in the Czech Republic, effects of time banks on sustainability, tax issues and systematic dimensions of inclusion of time bank systems toan economy. Evaluation and discussion of results shows, that inclusion of time bank systems to an economy would be advisable.
