The article explores a global principle of communication in Smart Grid networks with a focus on specific communication infrastructure aspects. The paper is divided in two main parts. First part focuses on a description of the main concepts and control ofSmart Grid network power distribution. Second part of this paper presents specific requirements regarding Smart Grid distribution flows and network elements. The paper proposes a general scheme of Smart Grid network communication infrastructure, which enables complex perspective of the given issue and its effective use. It presents different power grid management requirements in various types of regions in Czech Republic.
