Original language description
Purpose The article focuses on the specific expression of social responsibility in tourism – support of the traveling of disabled people by using mobile technologies. Specifically, the designed application focuses on a group of disabled persons with potentially occurring conditions, which significantly threaten the quality of their lives and possibly their lives. Design/methodology/approach The concept of the app is as follows: • Analysis of the requirements for safe travel of disabled persons with occurring conditions, which significantly endanger the quality of their lives / their lives • Analysis of available technologies for the implementation of the application - mobile technologies (smartphones, tablets) and neural networks • Analysis of dynamic health assessment options by using neural networks Findings On the basis of the conducted development, the following has been done: • Analysis of the requirements for LCS system to support the safe travel of people with health disabilities in the context of their optimization (price, availability of components, energy consumption) • Conceptual use of the LCS system to support the safe travel for people with disabilities in both individual and mass tourism • Conceptual and technical solution to the LCS system Originality/value The presented concept includes the key components of a solution that is flexible in several ways: • It includes procedures for reactive and preventive care and individualization of the system settings according to the needs of a particular participant in tourism, including system learning using neural networks • Can support a tour operator who travels individually or in a smaller group • Can be part of the solution to enhance the care of a participant in organized tourism, in which the tourist guide, a travel agent delegate or another tourist worker (such as a hotel receptionist) actively participate • The presented solution offers basic functionality, even when the GSM network is not available • With the use of other considered components (health sensors), it enables further improvement of the quality of care
