    Nowadays, smartphones are not utilized for communications only. Smartphones are equipped with a lot of sensors that can be utilized for different purposes. For example, inertial sensors have been used extensively in recent years for measuring and monitoring performance in many different applications. Basically, data from the sensors are utilized for estimation of smartphone orientation. There is a lot of applications which can utilize these data. This paper deals with an algorithm developed for inertial sensors data utilization for vehicle passenger comfort assessment. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
