Cloud Computing in the World and Czech Republic—A Comparative Study

  • Original language description

Cloud computing is a technology that has significantly influenced the current IT industry, both from the user’s point of view and the provider. The purpose of this article is to explore the use of the cloud computing in the corporate environment in the Czech Republic and abroad. The authors used a method of online questionnaire survey for the collection of the data from organizations in the Czech Republic, and for the collection of foreign data, research of the company RightScale was used. The results of this survey show that the general cloud adaptation in the Czech organizations is not as small and may even be global in some respects. However, in the world, companies more incline to use cloud computing, they are less skeptical, and advantages prevail over disadvantages as far as the cloud computing is concerned. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
