Original language description
This article focuses on the recent presidential elections in Venezuela and tries to outline future possible political development in the country after the death of long-time president Hugo Chávez. At first, the article analyses political events in Venezuela before the presidential election in October 2012 and April 2013, then it compares the pre-election strategies of the governing party and the main opposition force in the election. Last but not least, the aim of this text is to explain an increase inthe support of the opposition during a few months between the elections.
