Original language description

Article deals with the circumstances around appearance of Macedonian Youth Secret Revolutionary Organization (MYSRO) – secret organization of senior high school and university students of Macedonian origin in Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Organization was closely associated with Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (IMRO) and its aims and actions. MYSRO was founded after IMRO activities during the nineteen twenties had to be reduced due to the change of security condition in Yugoslav Macedonia and when new generation of their supporters matured and wanted to join the efforts. Instead of joining armed bands they have created yet another Balkan style secret organization. Greatest novelty was equal participation and activism of female members. After police action, mass arrests and trials in 1927, MYSRO infrastructure was disrupted although its members continued with activism throughout the mid-war period.
