The aim of this chapter is to think about the support of the contemporary Czech family and also to reflect the adequacy of its form of requirements of the current time. The chapter focuses on the line analysis of concepts such as de-standardization of life careers which becomes a reaction on changes in the society of the last quarter of the century and at the same time represents also other factor that erodes a family as a social institution. The text of the chapter tries to accommodate the family as arisky institution which is in the stage of gradual extinction and at the same time the very concept of the family indicates only so called conceptual "shell".
