Czech studies of lung cancer risk from radon
Original language description
Extended follow-up of two occupational and one residential cohort studies confirmed linear dependence on cumulated radon exposure, which is strongly modified by time since exposure, age at exposure, and exposure rate. Similar temporal modification is observed in the residential indoor study. Adjustment for smoking did not change the estimated excess risk from radon, but the relative risk among never smokers was higher by factor of nearly 2.
