Original language description

The Czech TLD QA network provides independent audits in external beam radiotherapy and dental X-ray radiology primarily for purposes of state supervision. In radiotherapy, two modes of the audit are used. The basic mode of the audit includes beam calibration checks for all clinically used photon and electron beams. The advanced mode covers TLD measurements for photon beams both on and off central beam axis for a few simple treatment set-ups using a multipurpose phantom. In dental radiology, the audit isaimed to check not only some basic dosimetric characteristics of X-ray apparatuses, but also the conditions of the film developing process used by dentists. The audits are realized via mailed dosimetry.
