    Extending the Reach of 10GE at 1310 nm

    In this contribution we study the possibility of extending the reach of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GE) transmission in the 1310 nm wavelength range. In these experiments, we used commercially available 10 GE transceivers, praseodymium-doped fibre amplifiersand Raman pump laser at 1250 nm to generate Raman amplification in the transmission fibre.

    V příspěvku je prezentována možnost zvýšení dosahu přenosu 10 gigabitového Ethernetu v oblasti vlnové délky 1310 nm. Při experimentech byly užity komerčně dostupné 10 GE transceivery, zesilovače s vláknem dotovaným Praseodymem a čerpací Ramanovský vláknový laser, který pracuje na vlnové délce 1250 nm a generuje Ramanovský zisk v přenosovém vlákně.
