Original language description
The Logging and Bookkeeping (L&B) is a specialised distributed grid monitoring system which gathers information on a grid job from various sources and provides the end-user with aggregate view on her job state. The service was developed originally in theEU DataGrid project and it has been successfully deployed in this project as well as in others (LCG, CrossGrid). Currently it is included in the gLite middleware.

Služba Logging and Bookkeeping (L&B) je specializovaný gridový monitorovací systém, který sbírá z různých zdrojů informace o životě gridových úloh a poskytuje koncovému uživately agregovaný pohled na stav úlohy. Služba byla původně vyvinuta v rámci projektu EU DataGrid, a byla úspěšně nasazena i v dalších projektech (LCG, CrossGrid). V současné době je součástí middleware gLite.
