The presentation gives information about transfer of research results to networks. Open scenario (vendor indepent) with full access to dark fibres and open transmission systems are inevitable for research of networking. The presentation gives survey of the new concepts developed and deployed in CESNET (CEF, NIL, DF Experimental facility, open DWDM transmition system, LTTx), shows necessity of conceptualization for photonic network design, indicators of transmission effectiveness and its good values.
