28th APAN meeting - Future Internet section. The CESNET - National Research and Educational Network. Running DWDM backbone with Multi-gigabit connection to the users. Different services use different light paths. Having 63 Gbps external communication to6 neighbors. Wide scale research activities in networking fields: Optical networking, Networking with FPGA Design, participation on global test beds as Planetlab, Phosphorus, Federica, participation on global networking experiments with video streaming with high resolution. Prague's FI Conference ? a view into the future, FIF - Future Internet Forum - place for exchange new idea. FIA - Future Internet Assembly (91 member states), more 500 participants, 94 supported projects, 7 working groups and 6 mainprogram objectives. PPP - Public Partner Partnership - New European Initiative (2009-2016), 1BE over 5 years. The national initiatives (different goals, forms, size). CESNET is forming Czech community.
