Logging and Bookkeeping is a grid service, part of gLite middleware stack, which gathers events on execution of jobs from various other grid services, and provides the user with aggregated view on the job states. Release 2 was largely re-engineered in order to improve perfomance, scalability, and stability of the service. Notable added features are extensions of the notification interface, namely to be used more heavily with high-level monitoring systems.
