This paper deals with a proposal of a configuration management,as a unified interface for administration of voice communication systems,which are presented by telephone exchanges,softswitches and gateways. These mentioned systems have their own configuration files,command line interfaces,management and moreover they use different approaches to configuration. Some of them are managed by the text configuration files,others use SQL DB and there are some kinds of applications which use binary files,most ofthem are equipped with web GUI. We perceive a necessity to define some higher level language or script,which will set some basic rules for all systems. It means,when we export configuration from one system,we can use it on another system. Administratorswould learn only one configuration syntax or CLI and software developers will adopt their systems to understand this syntax.
