Original language description

NETCONF server is a persistent system daemon providing framework for a device configuration plugins. Server accepts NETCONF requests from NETCONF agents (part of the NETCONF server package) started by a remote NETCONF client as the SSH Subsystem. NETCONFrequests are passed to the active device configuration modules that are controlled by the NETCONF server and that apply configuration changes to a specific device. NETCONF client provides CLI to connect operator to a controlled device and allow him to retrieve device state data and manipulate with the device configuration data. Both applications are designed for GNU/Linux operating system.
