Time and frequency transfer is becoming a new application for optical links as it seems to outperform traditional satellite transfer. To achieve high precision and stability of transfer is not possible to implement it over data transport layer of presentnetworks. The paper describes optical infrastructure for time and frequency transfer in the Czech Republic. The heterogeneous infrastructure reuses resources of the Czech research and educational optical network. The paper summarizes achieved results and discusses necessary steps for further transmission stability improvements, especially all optical bidirectional amplification.
